WELCOME TO NEXTGEN MARTIAL ARTS
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
for burlington parents
THE AFTER SCHOOL CHALLENGE EVERY BURLINGTON PARENT FACES
Three-thirty hits and your child is dismissed. But you're not off work for another two hours.
You need an after school program that is safe and supervised. But you're looking for more than just a place where your child waits until pickup. You want those crucial after-school hours to actually build something - confidence, focus, discipline - not just fill time.
You've looked at other Burlington after school program options. Some focus on homework help. Others offer recreational activities. But you're searching for an after school program where your child is actively growing, not just being kept busy.
That's exactly what NextGen Martial Arts delivers.

Why Our After School
Program Is Different
Unlike new programs still finding their way, NextGen Martial Arts has been a trusted part of the Burlington community for over 10 years. We know your schools, we know your neighborhoods, and we've helped hundreds of local families build confidence, focus, and discipline in their children.
Every Minute Is Purposeful
Your child walks in and immediately transitions from school mode to training mode. They're changing into their uniform, bowing in, and engaging in structured ITF Taekwondo training that develops their body and mind simultaneously.
In a typical session, your child is following multi-step instructions that sharpen focus, practicing techniques that require patience, building confidence through measurable progress, and learning respect through every interaction.
The discipline of showing up ready translates to better routines at home. The focus required to learn a new kick shows up during class at school. The confidence from earning their next stripe appears when they're facing challenges.
What Changes
What Your Child Experiences daily
01
They need to move — but with structure
We channel post-school energy into purposeful training. Students leave energized and focused, not depleted. The physical outlet helps them settle better in the evening
02
They struggle to focus and follow through
Learning forms requires memorizing 20–40 movements in precise order. Partner drills demand complete attention. Every class builds sustained focus that feels like achievement, not punishment.
03
Screens dominate their free time
Our after school program is screen-free. Students are fully present, engaged in training that requires complete attention. They choose this over screens because it's actually more engaging.
04
They lack confidence and quit when things get hard
Belt progression proves that consistent effort creates results. That technique they couldn't do last month? They're executing it perfectly now. This confidence shows up everywhere
One Curriculum. One Belt Path. Every Child.
The Same Art. The Same Belt Path.
Taught the Right Way for Every Child.
All students — ages 5 to 12 — follow the same ITF Taekwondo curriculum and progress through the same belt system. There are no shortcuts and no separate programs. Every child earns exactly what they achieve.
5–7
A Little More Time to Get There
Same Curriculum, Smaller Steps
Younger students follow the same curriculum as their older peers — they just work through each skill in smaller, more digestible parts. More repetition, more patience, more encouragement. The same belt. The same achievement. Just the right pace
8–12
Full Curriculum, Full Speed
Steady Progress, Real Mastery
Students aged 8 and up move through the standard curriculum at a steady, consistent pace. Belt progression is earned through mastery, not time — which means every promotion genuinely means something.
All
Belt by Belt, Not Birthday by Birthday
Earned. Not Given.
There are no age-based shortcuts at NextGen. A white belt earns their yellow stripe the same way whether they're 6 or 12 — through consistent training, demonstrated technique, and attitude. That's what makes it mean something.

What Are Our Parents Saying
Kelly
"Even though my oldest will be ready to walk home on her own next year, she still wants to go back for another year."
"We signed our girls up (9 & 11) and they love the friendships, the daily Taekwon Do lessons, and the leadership. I feel confident knowing they're picked up every day and going to a place where they're truly cared for. The atmosphere is positive. The mentorship aligns with our values: respect, consistency and commitment."
Karla
"NextGen have become family to us over the years."
